I’m flying to Hawaii in October. It looks like I’m doing an out-of-town show the night before, and my flight leaves at 6 am. Maybe I’ll just stay up all night so I can sleep through the five-hour flight.
I’m watching Gordon Ramsay annihilate a local chef on Hulu. I hope you all have a nice evening.
I had a busy day. Mary Kay brunch in the morning, then comedy writing session in the afternoon. I think I have a new five minute bit now. Yay.
I forgot how much I hate this part of the form. Le sigh.

In mixed-feelings news, I’m probably gonna be closing down this website in the near future. Comedy is really taking off, and I haven’t dated in months so the original premise is a moot point.

I originally saw this movie in the theater, and went in thinking it was a rom-com. It starts out that way, but quickly turns into a story about the dynamics in a family where the matriarch is dying of cancer. It’s a beautiful story about loss and moving on that is done in a subtle way. I don’t think the word “cancer” is even mentioned once.

I had a dream last night that I got back together with a long-term ex. Specifically, the guy I dated for three years who proposed to me one day, then changed his mind within 24 hours and sent me a text kicking me out of the house. Who went on to marry one of my close friends. I guess you could say it was a nightmare.
There was a point when we were content, and there was a decent degree of financial security. But I don’t think we were ever really happy with each other, for many reasons.
Even though a lot of bad things have happened since then, a lot of cool things have also happened. I’m thankful for that.

This movie reminds me of old-school mysteries, with a paranormal, religious twist. Actually, I think I’ll watch it again today.
