There Went The Neighborhood

This was seriously one of the best nights ever.  The crowd at Punch Line was amazing. I met some new friends, and got to meet some social media friends in person.  Thank you so much to everyone who came out.  I love you all.

Thank you to Shana Shafer and Jimmy Earl for putting this all together.  Thanks to Adam Reyes, Sydney Stigerts, Aivy Cordova, Al Shuman, Willie Travis, Ed Mena, Frank the Tank, Joey C, and G King for making tonight so fun.  Thank you to Punch Line for having us.

I need to sleep.  See you guys in the morning.

Missing Pink

Good morning.  I was planning on going to the More Than Pink Walk this morning, but my allergies are off the hook.

I’m actually glad to have a day with not much planned.  I’m visiting Eddie’s dog, and being a lazy bum the rest of the day.  Oh yeah, and I should go to the gym at some point.  Meh.

Alright, time to start being productive.  Oh, and if you wanted to get on my guest list for There Goes the Neighborhood, I’m submitting it to Shana RIGHT NOW.  Either message me extremely quickly, or I’ll find a way to get you some tickets.

See you guys tonight.

The Hard Place

Good evening!  Episode 1 from Token Male dropped today.

I'm super excited to see Episode 2 later this weekend.  Many thanks to Rhoda, and to all of the lovely ladies and gentlemen who made this happen.

Today has been A DAY, so I'm gonna play some Night Shift and read.  See you guys in the morning before I head out to the More Than Pink walk.

Reading N Stuff

Good evening.

I’ve been doing a lot of reading these past few days.  Jessica and I are reading Noir.  I’m about to start The Monkey Wrench Gang at the recommendation of Jason B.  The book with most of my attention right now is Into the Darkest Corner.  Erin suggested it to me.  It’s an amazing book, but it’s also been bringing up some stuff that I’ve tried really hard to forget.

Night Shift just got real.  If you haven’t started playing yet, I highly recommend scrolling down a few posts for the link.  Thanks again to Rich Crawford for letting me beta-test.

I need to introvert for a little while.  I’ll see you guys in the morning.

Comedy Is Hard, But Concrete Is Harder

Evening, all.  Token Male Pt 2 was awesome.  I’m super psyched to see the finished product.

Because apparently I can’t even walk normally, I fell and ate it outside St. Stan’s.  I have two skinned knees and two skinned palms.  And gravel in my eye.  And also somehow gravel in my underwear.

Thank you to Rhoda again for organizing Token Male.  Thank you to Felicia Aleman for giving me time at open mic tonight.  Last of all, thanks to Serena Gamboa, Taylor Evans and Andre Morton for being rad costars.

I think I pulled a muscle in my back trying not to fall, so I’m going to bed.  See you guys in the morning.

Token Male

Ladies and gents, Token Male Sketch has completed day one of shooting.

We’ll be heading down to Modesto tomorrow for day two.  Many thanks to Rhoda D. Ramone for organizing all this, to Kayla Velasquez for directing/filming, and to Diana Hong and Kristen Frisk Christensen for being amazing costars.

Oh, and thanks to the life-size Justin Bieber cut-out for serving as our creepy prop.

Alright, sleep time.  See you guys in the morning.

Sketchy

Good morning!

This is a super cool policy I saw on the wall at Press Club.  Also, there is some pretty rad graffiti in that bathroom.

I need to memorize some lines, because I am filming sketch comedy with Rhoda D. Ramone and some other lovely ladies today and tomorrow.  I’m super excited, and grateful that Rhoda is including me.  I’ll post links once the videos are up next weekend.

Oh, and There Goes the Neighborhood is on Sunday!  Hit me up if you want on the free  guestlist.

Alright, I need to be productive.  See you guys tonight.

I Think I’m Delirious

Good evening.  I had a fun night out with Eddie.  It’s been a long time since I’ve been out this late on Sunday.  Can’t say I feel like I’ve been missing anything.

I’m in a weird frame of mind.  In general, the encounters I’ve had with men over the last 6+ months (actually, more) have not been good.  It’s something that weighs on my mind a lot.  At least more than I would like.

I think I need to take a break from actively dating for a while.  It’s been a really long time since I’ve felt a connection with a guy anyway, and I have some lingering emotions that I need to work through.  It’s also a good time to free up extra energy since I’m picking up a lot of side projects.

I need to sleep.  I’ll see you guys in the morning.

Cinco De Drinko

Good evening.  Eddie was gracious enough to DD for me tonight.  It’s always awkward hanging out with an ex when people ask how long we’ve been together, and I’m like...negative one year?

It was a fun night.  I ate a lot of Mexican food and mixed my liquors.  I saw a guy riding a horse while brandishing a lightsaber.  I got to see some of my old friends at the usual bar.

A lot of new ventures are starting next week.  I’m excited, and a little nervous...but who am I if I’m not pushing myself to improve and grow as a person?

I need to sleep.  I’ll see you guys in the morning.

It’s Been Six Months

Good morning, fam.

IMG_2111.PNG

Today marks six months since I started this blog.  A lot has changed since then.  A lot is still the same.  Thank you to everyone who looks at this weird slice of the Internet.  New and exciting things are coming, starting next week.

Night Shift is super fun!  If you haven’t started, check out last night’s post for the link.  I’m also going to try to post a link to the Distorted Nation episode today (it should also be on podcast apps shortly).

It’s Cinco de Mayo, and Eddie has graciously offered to chauffeur me around so I can drink.  He has faults, but he’s also the dude who’s consistently been there for me over the past six months.

Alright, time to get a pedicure.  See you guys later tonight.

Night Shift

Good evening, all!  I'm finally settling in to beta-test my friend Rich's new game Night Shift.  Rich is a DJ and an all-around awesome guy, and you should check out Night Shift.

See you guys in the morning.
